Brewer's notes: Why we ask for your age at the door and what we do with that confirmation.
1. Why we ask
Although brewing supplies are not regulated as alcohol in most jurisdictions, the ferment you produce is. We apply the highest legal drinking age (21, the United States) as our global gate.
2. How we check
On first visit you confirm by clicking. We store a small flag in your browser so you do not see the prompt every page.
At checkout you confirm again, this time on the order record, alongside a confirmation that you are not in any restricted category.
3. What we do not store
We do not record your date of birth on first visit. Age is reaffirmed at checkout and stored as a yes/no confirmation alongside the order. No ID is scanned.
4. False statements
Submitting a false age confirmation is a material breach of our Terms and may render the order void.
